Dublin for Families - Hotel Dublin City Centre

Check out the “Visit Dublin” website as it always contains the latest ideas of how to entertain the family while in Dublin.

Some of our favourites are:

  • St Stephen’s Green – they say that the best things in life are free! St Stephen’s Green is located about 15 minutes walk (with children) from the Holiday Inn Hotel Dublin. Adults will be charmed by the stunning Victorian park in the city centre whilst kids will love the playground and duckpond. Watch out for free outdoor lunchtime concerts in the summertime.
  • The Ark – The Ark is the first children’s centre for culture. Collaborating with Irish and International Artists the team at The Ark develop inspirational and playful programmes for children aged 3-14 years including theatre, dance, poetry, arts and crafts.
  • Natural History Museum – known affectionately by Dubliners as “the dead zoo”, a visit to the Natural History Museum is a must for all families but make sure to allow plenty of time to enjoy this great attraction. FREE ADMISSION
  • And speaking of Zoos, Dublin Zoo is an amazing 60 acres of park in the city transports families to the Arctic, the plains of Africa and Indian Rainforests before kids visit Pets’ Corner and the City Farm. Visit the website for details of opening hours, admission prices and family packages.
  • Imaginosity: Dublin Children’s Museum. Suitable for children up to 9 years of age this museum has been designed to stimulate children’s natural curiosity and ability to explore. Visit the website for directions, public transport options, opening hours and prices.
